What It Is Like To Leave Your Job, Home, Kids and Travel…

Hi, my name is Jill Gerrard. I am 54 years old, leaving my job after 34 years and taking off on my motorcycle by myself for the winter. I have no idea where I’m going, I’m letting the wind decide that.

I will be writing about my experiences out on the road. As I stated in my first blog, I am not a writer by any stretch, I’m just writing from the heart about my journey.

I’ve lived in Maine my whole life, and have always dreamed of traveling the US. My kids are grown and have their own lives, so what better time than now to do it.

My journey won’t really begin until October 31st, that is my last day of work. I will be heading out from there for six or seven months. In the mean time I will post things that I am doing to get prepared for the trip.
