Phew, I thought I was going to be blown over the gusts were so strong. I knew it was a little windy when I left the hotel, but once I got out on the roads with open fields it was really blowing. I had to hold on tight because the gusts would come and go, pushing me all over my side of the road. A couple of times it whipped my head back with the gusts. I even kept my hand on my bike when I was gasing up, it felt like it was going to blow over, it was crazy. These are the leftover winds from what Ohio and Kentucky were hit with. If anyone saw me they probably thought I was crazy, everytime the gust came I would just start laughing. I couldn’t get over the power of those gusts.
I kept seeing white stuff on the side of the road, and I knew it wasn’t snow. I couldn’t figure out what it was, it looked like foam of some sort.

I realized what it was when I came up to cotton fields. They even bundle them like they do the hay bails back in Maine. Pretty cool to see.
Here are a few other pictures of all the wide open farm lands that I saw as I was riding. Most of the roads haven’t had any shoulder to get off the roads safely to take pictures, when I am able to there isn’t anything to take a picture off. I didn’t have anyone around when I took these, so I could stop for a minute to take the shots.
Glad to be in for the night, all that wind gave me a migraine. Time for some lavender and relaxation!
